The Group’s origins date back to 1960, when it was established under the name Thani Bin Abdullah Housing Group. Since then, it has undergone a series of strategic transformations that have strengthened its position and reshaped its identity in line with its expanding ambitions. In early 2007, the Group reached a significant milestone with its transformation into Ezdan Real Estate Company. Later that same year, it further advanced its growth journey by becoming a public shareholding company, opening new horizons for expansion and reinforcing its investment base and presence in the financial market.

Ezdan Holding Group’s contribution has extended far beyond corporate growth. It has become an active pillar in Qatar’s national development journey, playing a key role in the delivery of numerous projects and initiatives of national significance. Among its most notable contributions was its active participation in the preparations for the 2006 Asian Games, through the provision of residential complexes required to accommodate the event and the development of integrated infrastructure befitting an occasion of such scale and importance.

Building on this role, the Group continued to support and sponsor major national and regional sporting events, including the 2011 Arab Games.
